Lindisfarne Scriptorium - Treasures for the Journey
Customer Type: Retail

Created: 2019

Biblical Passages:

Let the dawning day bring me revelation of your tender, unfailing love. Give me light for my path and teach me, for I trust in you. (Psalm 143:8 The Passion Translation)

Background:

On a winter train journey to Edinburgh I looked from the window towards a bright, pale sun rising above miles of misty fields, the days before had been dark and wintry but this day held promises of spring. Many key moments in the Bible are told with reference to light and dark, Jesus calls Himself the Light of the World, we are encouraged to 'walk in the light' and the Word of God is compared to a lamp at our feet, guiding us through a dark and fallen world.
